| Sunday 22 August 2010 | Handsacre | | 9.0 miles, 2 locks

| Lovely day, all day. First traffic jam, queuing for a lock; good job we were not in a hurry.
| Saturday 21 August 2010 | Tixall Wide | | 12.5 miles, 12 locks
| Another showery day but mainly pleasant. First overnight mooring this trip with no internet connection, so this update will have to wait.

| Friday 20 August 2010 | Gailey | | 13.8 miles, 7 locks
| Wow, two locks in my favour all day.
| When I grow up, I'll be a big boat too!
| In foot high letters this has to be a spelling disaster!
| Thursday 19 August 2010 | Bratch Top Lock | | 10.5 miles, 15 locks
| Fine until 4pm. Only one lock in my favour all day - what did I do to deserve that.
| Wednesday 18 August 2010 | Caunsall | | 8.3 miles, 7 locks
| Back to walking pace. Through Kidderminster, which apparently has something of a reputation, without hindrance.
| Tuesday 17 August 2010 | Stourport-on-Severn | | 13.7 miles, 9 locks
| That's blown the cobwebs out of the engine - a thrash up the mighty Severn at nearly 6 mph.
| Waiting at the huge Bevere Lock on the Severn because pumps were being used instead of a damaged paddle.
| A late arrival in Stourport-on-Severn meant grabbing any odd corner that was left.
| Monday 16 August 2010 | Worcester | |
| A day in Worcester and a visit from John, Judy, Robert and Heather.
| Sunday 15 August 2010 | Worcester | | 15.1 miles, 20 locks
| A lovely day weatherwise; navigated the last few locks into Worcester with much help from Pete, who was cycling along the towpath.
| Saturday 14 August 2010 | Stoke Prior Works | | 10.2 miles, 36 locks
| Big day! Nice day too but for the showers. Only 20 locks to Worcester now, so tomorrow will be a relative doddle.
| Friday 13 August 2010 | Lower Bittell Reservoir | | 15.8 miles, 5 locks
| First unscheduled swim! First tunnel with no light at the end, until it was only 300m away -
tunnel length 2493m.
| Thursday 12 August 2010 | Lapworth | | 8.7 miles, 36 locks
| A bit too ambitious - nine locks too far - but once started on a flight, one just can't stop!
| Wednesday 11 August 2010 | Saltisford Arm, Warwick | |
| A day in Warwick including a first visit to the castle which I found dreadfully commercialised, fine for a family
with young children but not for me. The state rooms, the engine house with restored electrical generating equipment and the display of
birds of prey were all of interest but grossly over-priced.
| The crowded central courtyard
| The mill wheel on the tranquil river
| A fascinating eagle with handler
| | For £5 I can go again tomorrow - an offer I can refuse.
| Tuesday 10 August 2010 | Saltisford Arm, Warwick | | 12.6 miles, 22 locks
| By teaming up with another boat for about 10 locks, reached Warwick. Moored in a very full arm of the canal,
a good place from which to explore Warwick. The Hatton flight can wait a day.
| Monday 9 August 2010 | Calcutt | | 13.0 miles, 3 locks
| Ten locks ahead; time to stop!
| Sunday 8 August 2010 | Hillmorton Locks | | 6.7 miles, 3 locks
| A gentle start through familiar territory. Lots of boats about, so I have moored quite early, just above Hillmorton Locks.
| Saturday 7 August 2010 | Brinklow Marina | |
